Mount Hutt Haven

Positive: Spotlessly clean house with plenty of room and easy parking. The beds were very comfortable and the garden makes for a pleasant outlook. Nice big kitchen - we didn't cook in it but it looked well-equipped. Having the door code made it easy for different groups of family members to come and go without having the hassle of handing over keys. Negative: We were 10 of us and were initially a bit surprised that a house that size (it's enormous!) had only one full bathroom that wasn't an ensuite, but there is a separate toilet as well, and it worked out fine as the couple who had the ensuite bathroom were fine with their sons coming in and using that one during peak getting-ready periods.

Everything you could want or need for a fabulous family get away 5+Stars :-) Positive: We had a bit of an issue with the door code not working but our lovely hosts Sam and Andy managed to sort it out very quickly. The property had everything we needed and more, fantastic base for our family of 8, space for the adults and the kids to have time out. Great selection of games, puzzles, books and toys for kiddies. The bath was a bonus after a day on the mountain, nothing better than a good long soak. Location was excellent 2 minutes to town centre. Unfortunately, the washing machine was not working during our stay, but Andy directed us to the local laundry. Negative: Just the inconvenience of the washing machine not working.

A large very comfortable home, very clean and tidy. Positive: Catered for a family group comfortably. Very well provisioned for younger guests. Negative: Washing machine not working at the time of our stay.

Great place to stay with a couple of families to enjoy Methven and the ski slopes. Positive: There was a code on the door- super easy. The location was great. Only 10 min walk to the main street. So much space in the house and beds were comfortable. We loved the garden, the kids could easily run around and play. Loved the fire place! Negative: Bigger towels would have been great and some bits and pieces are starting to look a bit worn.
